IPB-D2 chickens and IPB-D3 chickens are the result of selection from IPB-D1 chickens based on disease resistance characteristics and fast body weight growth. This study aims to obtain an equation for estimating body weight based on eight linear body surface variables. Based on this equation, it was determined that the most flexible variable to changes in body weight of IPB-D2 and IPB-D3 chickens. The research method used is Principal Component Regression Analysis (ARKU). This study used IPB-D2 and IPB-D3 chickens aged 10 weeks with a total of 90 chickens. The linear body surface size variables measured were femur length (X1), tibia length (X2), tarsometatarsus length (X3), tarsometatarsus circumference (X4), third finger length (X5), wing length (X6), maxilla length ( X7), and comb height (X8). All the variables have a real impact to bodyweight so that bodyweight estimation equations include all variables. Wing length (X6) is the most influential variable on body weight of IPB-D2 and IPB-D3 chickens.
