Penampilan Reproduksi dan Pertumbuhan Tikus Putih (Rattus rattus)

Abstract

Eight five heads of white rates (Rattus rattus) were used to study on the growth and reproduction performance. First mating in female is at 11 weeks of age/180-220 g of body weight. The average period of estrous is 8 days, gastation period is 21 days. First birth is at 14 weeks of age and the interval is 58 days for young and 82 days for old females. Litter size and birth weight are 4.5 1.9 heads and 5.41 1.03 g for ald male X old females 7.0 1.4 heads and 4.49 0.46 g for old male X young females; and 6.8 2.7 heads and 4.81 0.51 g for young males X young female. Overall mean birth weight is 4.99 0.80 g and that of litter size is 6.0 2.4 heads. Sex ratio (male:female) from 16 times of birth is 155:100. Weaning weight is 31.6 6.9 g at 28 days age.
