Abstract: Batik adalah kekayaan budaya, jatidiri, dan identitas bangsa Indonesia. Industri batik menghasilkan limbah cair yang sangat besar dan kompleks. Limbah batik biasanya langsung dibuang ke saluran pembuangan dan terakumulasi di sungai. Sungai Pekalongan adalah salah satu sungai di Pekalongan yang mendapatkan beban pencemaran limbah batik. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan status pencemaran air Sungai Pekalongan, menganalisis pengaruh pencemaran limbah batik terhadap komunitas makrobenthos di Sungai Pekalongan dan merumuskan strategi pengendalian pencemaran limbah batik di Sungai Pekalongan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari sampai Maret 2015 di Sungai Pekalongan, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei pada lima stasiun pengamatan
Batik is a cultural wealth and identity of Indonesia. Batik industries produce a huge and complex wastewater. Batik wastewater is usually directly discharged to sewers and accumulated in the river. Pekalongan River is one of the rivers in Pekalongan that get a load of batik wastewater pollution. The aim of this study is to determine the status of water pollution in Pekalongan River, to analyze the influence of batik wastewater pollution to macrobenthic community in Pekalongan River and to formulate strategies to control batik wastewater pollution in Pekalongan River. The research was conducted from January to March 2015 in Pekalongan River, Central Java Province. This study used a survey method of five observation stations.
