Abstract: Stowage factor ikan merupakan informasi yang dibutuhkan untuk mengestimasi kapasitas penangkapan kapal penangkap ikan. Mengacu pada SNI 9018:2021, nilai stowage factor cumi-cumi belum tersedia. Produksi cumi-cumi paling dominan di PPSNZJ tahun 2020 ditangkap dengan menggunakan alat tangkap bouke ami. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi desain kapal bouke ami dan ketersedian palka, mendeskripsikan penanganan cumi-cumi, dan merumuskan nilai stowage factor cumi-cumi pada kapal bouke ami. Data dikumpulkan dengan cara studi literatur, pengukuran dan observasi langsung di lapang dan wawancara dengan nelayan yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kapal bouke ami di PPSNZJ umumnya memiliki 6 palka dengan bentuk dasarnya yang mengikuti kasko kapal, penanganan cumi-cumi relatif homogen yaitu disusun berdasarkan panjang mantel secara bulk pack yang berukuran 50 x 30 x 10 cm. Adapun nilai stowage factor untuk bulk pack yang disusun secara teratur dalam kondisi segar ukuran 50 x 30 x 10 cm bernilai 0,67 ton/m3 serta stowage factor cumi-cumi yang sudah dibekukan dalam ukuran bulk pack berukuran 50 x 30 x 10 cm memiliki nilai berkisar antara 0,64-0,67 ton/m3 tergantung dari bentuk ruang yang ditempatinya.
The fish stowage factor is the information needed to estimate the fishing capacity of fishing vessels. Referring to SNI 9018:2021, squid stowage factor values are not yet available. The vast majority of squid production in PPSNZJ in 2020 was derived from stick held dip net fishing gear. The purpose of this study was to identify the design of the stick held dip net vessel and the availability of hatches, describe the handling of squids, and formulate the value of squid’s stowage factor on the stick held dip net fishing vessels. Data were collected by means of literature studies, measurements and direct observations in the field and interviews with fishermen which were then analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the stick held dip net vessel at PPSNZJ generally has 6 hatches which its shape basically follows the hull shape, the squid handling method is relatively homogeneous, which is arranged based on the length of the mantle in bulk packs measuring 50x30x10 cm. Accordingly, the stowage factor of fresh squid arranged regularly in bulk packs measuring 50x30x10 cm constitutes 0.67 tons / m3. Meanwhile, when it is frozen the stowage factor is ranging from 0.64-0.67 tons/m3 depending on the occupied shape.
