| Abstract: | Industri kayu lapis Indonesia berkembang pesat pada periode 1980-1997.
Krisis moneter di Asia yang juga melanda Indonesia pada Juli 1997 menyebabkan
industri kayu lapis Indonesia menurun yang berlangsung pada periode tahun 1998-
2009, sementara tren kayu lapis dunia mengalami perkembangan yang pesat pada
periode yang sama ditandai dengan peningkatan konsumsi kayu lapis dunia yang
signifikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguraikan kondisi pasar kayu lapis dunia dan
Indonesia pada periode 2010-2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi, ekspor, impor dan
konsumsi kayu lapis dunia meningkat sepanjang 2010-2020. Produksi, ekspor, dan
konsumsi kayu lapis dunia dipimpin oleh Cina dengan persentase berturut-turut
58%, 36%, dan 50.8%. India menjadi negara dengan peningkatan konsumsi yang
signifikan yaitu 160%. Produksi kayu lapis Indonesia stabil dan ekspor Indonesia
cenderung menurun. Namun, Indonesia masih memiliki peranan penting di pasar
kayu lapis dunia sebagai eksportir terbesar setelah Cina dengan persentase 10%.
Negara tujuan ekspor kayu lapis Indonesia adalah Jepang, Cina, Korea Selatan,
Arab Saudi, Malaysia, Singapura, dan Amerika Serikat. Impor kayu lapis Indonesia
menurun drastis sebesar 95%. Faktor yang mempengaruhi pasar kayu lapis adalah
populasi, pertumbuhan ekonomi, sertifikasi produk, adaptasi teknologi dan
kebijakan perdagangan kayu lapis. Indonesia's plywood industry developed rapidly in the period 1980-1997. since the enactment of the policy of banning the export of logs. The monetary crisis in Asia that also hit Indonesia in July 1997 caused the Indonesian plywood industry to decline which lasted in the period 1998-2009, while the world plywood trend experienced rapid development in the same period marked by a significant increase in world plywood consumption. This study is to describe the condition of world and Indonesia plywood markets. This study used a qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the world’s plywood production, exports, imports, and consumption were increased during the period 2010-2020. The world’s plywood production, exports, and consumption are led by China with 58%, 36%, and 50.8%. India became countries with significant increase in consumption of 160%. However, Indonesia still has an important role in the world plywood market as the largest exporter after China with a percentage of 10%. The main destination for Indonesia’s plywood exports are Japan, China, USA, and South Korea. Indonesia's plywood imports dropped dramatically by 95%. Factors affecting the world plywood market are population, economic growth, and policies related to the principle of sustainability. |
