dc.description.abstractNilai estetika merupakan hal yang sangat diperhatikan dalam budidaya tanaman hias. Penggunaan media tumbuh tanaman (MTT) yang sesuai dalam budidaya tanaman hias dapat menambah nilai estetika tanaman hias. MTT Zeoponik merupakan salah satu media tumbuh yang dapat digunakan untuk tanaman hias. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari karakteristik kimia media tumbuh tanaman, pengaruh penggunaan media tumbuh tanaman zeoponik terhadap pertumbuhan tanaman hias Monstera adansonii, Aglaonema sp. dan Cactaceae sp., serta membandingkannya dengan media tumbuh tanaman komersial. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal yaitu jenis MTT yang terdiri dari zeoponik dan 4 jenis MTT yang banyak di daerah Bogor. Pengamatan pertumbuhan dilakukan selama 13 minggu pada 45 satuan percobaan. Parameter yang diamati pada tanaman Monstera adansonii dan Aglaonema sp. ialah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, panjang daun, lebar daun, dan diameter batang. Sedangkan parameter yang diamati pada Cactaceae sp. ialah panjang leher, lebar leher, panjang batang, lebar batang, dan jumlah batang. Penambahan pupuk dilakukan pada 12 minggu setelah transplanting (MST), dan uji keindahan tanaman pada 13 MST. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan MTT Zeoponik memiliki karakteristik kimia (pH, EC, dan N-tersedia) yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan MTT komersial. Penggunaan MTT Zeoponik meningkatkan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman Monstera adansonii. MTT Zeoponik berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang leher tanaman Cactaceae sp. Selain itu, dari hasil uji keindahan tanaman, MTT Zeoponik memperoleh rata-rata nilai paling tinggi pada parameter keindahan media tanam.id
dc.description.abstractAesthetic value is a very important thing in the cultivation of ornamental plants. The use of appropriate plant growing media (PGM) in ornamental plant cultivation can add to the aesthetic value of ornamental plants. Zeoponic PGM is one of the growing media that can be used for ornamental plants. This research aims to study the chemical characteristics of the PGMs, the effect of using zeoponic PGM on the growth of ornamental plants Monstera adansonii, Aglaonema sp. and Cactaceae sp., as well as compare them with commercial PGMs. The experimental design used was a single-factor completely randomized design (CRD), namely the PGM type consisting of zeoponic and 4 other types of PGM which are commonly in the Bogor area. Growth observations were carried out for 13 weeks in 45 experimental units. Parameters observed in Monstera adansonii and Aglaonema sp. were plant height, number of leaves, leaf length, leaf width, and stem diameter. While, parameters that observed in Cactaceae sp. were neck length, neck width, stem length, trunk width, and number of stems. The addition of fertilizer was carried out at 12 weeks after transplanting (WAT), and the plant beauty test was carried out at 13 WAT. The results showed that the use of Zeoponic PGM had better chemical characteristics (pH, EC, and available-N) compared to commercial PGMs. The use of Zeoponik PGM increased the height growth of Monstera adansonii plants. Zeoponic PGM significantly affected the neck length of Cactaceae sp. In addition, the results of the Zeoponic PGM plant beauty test obtained the highest average value on the parameters of the beauty of the growing media.id
