dc.description.abstractIkan sidat sirip pendek Indonesia (Anguilla bicolor bicolor) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan yang memiliki nilai ekonomi penting. Keberhasilan pengangkutan benih ikan diukur dari rendahnya angka kematian benih yang diangkut, kemudian mampu beradaptasi dan dapat tumbuh saat dipelihara pasca pengangkutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan bertahan hidup benih ikan sidat (elver) dengan perbedaan media basah dan kering. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober hingga Desember 2021 di Laboratorium Fisiologi Hewan Air. Parameter yag diamati yaitu sintasan, tingkat konsumsi oksigen di dalam dan di luar air, glukosa darah dan fisika-kimia air (suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut). Peningkatan persentase glukosa darah pada media basah, media kering dasar lembab serta media kering dasar lembab dan bahan pengisi dari media air berturut-turut adalah 9,04%, 30,72%, dan 48,80%. pH dan DO selama percobaan cocok untuk kelangsungan hidup sidat. Elver mampu hidup selama 24 jam pada media basah (sintasan 97,5%) dengan kondisi fisiologisnya yang relatif baik. Pada media kering dasar lembab, elver kurang mampu bertahan hidup (sintasan 77,5%) dengan kondisi fisiologis yang menurun. Pada media kering, elver mampu bernapas dengan kulit, dengan tingkat konsumsi oksigen sebesar 23,21% dari kebutuhan normalnya pada media air.id
dc.description.abstractThe Indonesian shortfin eel (Anguilla bicolor bicolor) is a fishery commodity with important economic value. The success of fish seed transportation is measured by the low mortality rate of the transported fry and then adapts and can grow when cared for post transport. This study aimed to analyze the survivability of elver seeds with differences in wet and dry media. The research was carried out from October to December 2021 at the Aquatic Animal Physiology Laboratory. Parameters observed were survival rate, oxygen consumption rate inside and outside water, blood glucose, and water physical-chemistry (temperature, pH, Dissolved Oxygen). The increase in blood glucose percentages in wet media, dry moist media and dry moist media with fillers from water media were 9,04%, 30,72%, and 48,80% respectively. pH and DO during the experiment are suitable for the survival of eels Elver was able to live for 24 hours in wet media (97,5% survival rate) with relatively good physiological conditions. In dry moist media, were less able to survive (77,5% survival rate) with decreased physiological conditions. In dry media, the elver is able to breathe with the skin, with an oxygen consumption rate of 23,21% of its normal needs in water media.id
