Title: Pengembangan Kandang Inovatif Sapi Pedaging untuk Pengelolaan Mikroklimat Melalui Sistem Pengabutan

Abstract: Sapi pedaging merupakan ternak penghasil daging dari jenis ruminansia besar. Kondisi lingkungan ternak diupayakan tetap berada di thermoneutralzone. Diperlukan sebuah modifikasi lingkungan terkait pengelolaan mikroklimat melalui sistem pengabutan dengan menggunakan alat sprinkler water. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis pengelolaan mikroklimat kandang melalui sistem pengabutan dalam memperbaiki respon fisiologis sapi pedaging. Peubah yang diamati yaitu suhu komponen kandang, suhu udara, kelembapan udara, Temperature Humidity Index (THI), frekuensi pernapasan, frekuensi denyut jantung, dan suhu rektal. Metode analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji-T tidak berpasangan 5 kali ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan sebelum dan setelah pengabutan air pengukuran pagi berbeda nyata (P<0,05) tinggi pada semua peubah yang diamati. Pengabutan air memberikan efek penurunan suhu komponen kandang, suhu udara, kelembapan udara, Temperature Humidity Index (THI), frekuensi pernapasan, frekuensi denyut jantung, dan suhu rektal.
Beef cattle are meat-producing livestock of large ruminant species. The environmental conditions of livestock are kept in the thermoneutral zone. An environmental modification related to microclimate management is required through a misting system using a water sprinkler. The purpose of this study was to analyze the microclimate management of the barn through the misting system in improving the physiological response of beef cattle. The variables observed were the temperature of the components of the barn, the air temperature, the air humidity, the Temperature Humidity Index (THI), respiratory frequency, heart rate, and rectal temperature. The analytical method used in this is unpaired T-test five replications. The results showed that the treatment before and after the morning measurement water misting was significantly different (P<0.05) in all the observed variables. Water misting has the effect of decreasing the temperature of the barn components, air temperature, humidity, Temperature Humidity Index (THI), respiratory rate, heart rate, and rectal temperature.
