Semua babi diberikan pAEC (porcine Amniotic Epithelial Cells) setelah terbentuk infarkmiokardium.
Description: Stem cells are able to differentiate into any cell types and suitable for target organs, so they have the potential as alternative in the treatment of myocardial infarction. Thoracotomy and stem cell patch require minimal invasive condition and stability of heart. The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of pAEC on body temperature, heart rate, and respiration rate of pigs (Sus scrofa domestica) during myocardial infarction surgery. Four local pigs were 2 males dan 2 females. All pigs were given pAEC (porcine Amniotic Epithelial Cells) after infarction. Anesthetics were given same: ketamine 10% dose 20 mg/kg BW (IM), xylazine 2% dose 2 mg/kg BW (IM), atropine sulfate 0,3% dose 0.5 – 1 mL/50kg BW (IV), propofol 4 mg/kg BW (IV), fentanyl 0.02 – 0.05 mg/kg/BW (IV), and inhalation anesthetics (isoflurane). The measured variables from parenteral anesthetics were body temperature, heart rate, and respiration rate. The results showed that there was no significant difference (Duncan: P > 0,05) in heart rate, respiration rate, and body temperature with pAEC intervention in myocardial infarction surgery.
