Abstract: A lot of waste banks flourished throughout cities and villages in Indonesia. Many believe that the waste bank could effectively solve the domestic waste problems in Indonesia. However, some waste banks are unsustainable after a few years. This study observes the background situation of the waste bank from the social psychology point of view. First, the study aims to analyze the influence of bank customers' attitudes, subjective norms, and behavioural control on the intention to handle domestic waste. Second, to analyze the effect of behavioural control, the intention, waste bank management to handle domestic waste. A social survey type of research is applied. Amount of 30 respondents of the Sejahtera Waste Bank's members in Kedungbadak Village, Bogor, were interviewed using a questionnaire. In addition, in-depth interviews with informants were also applied. To test the hypotheses, a multiple regression analysis was applied. The results show that, first, all three variabels simultaneously affect the bank customers' intention to handle domestic waste. Second, it is found that the intention, control behaviour, and waste bank management of the bank customer simultaneously affect the emergence of waste handling behaviour.
