Title: Ekonomi Pengendalian Erosi Hutan Areal Penggunaan Lain di Tiga Desa Kabupaten Ketapang

Abstract: Areal penggunaan lain (APL) adalah kawasan yang diperuntukkan untuk kegiatan ekonomi. Kabupaten Ketapang masih memiliki wilayah berhutan. APL Berhutan di Kabupaten Ketapang memiliki potensi besar untuk dikonversi demi kepentingan ekonomi masyarakat Kabupaten Ketapang. Pengelolaan APL berhutan harus memperhatikan faktor lingkungan sebagai salah satu syarat pembangunan berkelanjutan. Salah satu peranan hutan dalam menjaga ekosistem adalah dalam mengendalikan erosi. Metode Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) digunakan untuk menduga nilai erosi sebagai upaya menilai peranan hutan dalam pengendalian erosi. Hasil erosi kemudian diperkirakan sedimentasi potensialnya menggunakan pendekatan sediment delivery ratio (SDR). Valuasi nilai moneter hutan dalam mengendalikan erosi kemudian dihitung dengan pendekatan biaya penghindaran (avoided cost) menggunakan proxy biaya pengerukan sedimentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hutan di APL berperan besar dalam mengendalikan erosi. Nilai pengendalian erosi hutan APL di Desa Pangkalan Suka berkisar Rp 324.653/ha/tahun, di Desa Sinar Kuri Rp 13,02 juta/ha/tahun, dan di Desa Riam Bunut Rp 22,91 juta/ha/tahun.
Other use areas (APL) are areas designated for economic activities. Ketapang Regency still has forested areas. Forested APL in Ketapang Regency has the potential to be converted for the economic benefit of the people of Ketapang Regency. Management of forested APL must pay attention to environmental factors as one of the requirements for sustainable development. One of the roles of forests in maintaining ecosystems is in controlling erosion. The Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method was used to estimate the value of erosion to assess forests' role in erosion control. The erosion results are then estimated for potential sedimentation using the sediment delivery ratio (SDR) approach. The valuation of the monetary value of the forest in controlling erosion is then calculated using an avoided cost approach using a proxy for the cost of dredging sedimentation. The results showed that the forest in APL played a significant role in controlling erosion. The value of APL forest erosion control in Pangkalan Suka Village is around IDR 324,653/ha/year, in Sinar Kuri Village it is IDR 13.02 million/ha/year, and in Riam Bunut Village, it is IDR 22.91 million/ha/year.
