Abstract: Kebisingan merupakan salah satu stresor yang dapat mempengaruhi performa ternak kelinci. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkah laku harian dan performa kelinci jantan lokal dengan tingkat kebisingan berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis uji T independent untuk membandingkan 2 perlakuan yaitu tingkat kebisingan A yaitu 40-50 db (tingkat kebisingan area lingkungan sekitar penelitian) dan tingkat kebisingan B yaitu 80-90 db (kebisingan yang diatur menggunakan music speaker). Peubah yang diamati adalah tingkah laku harian kelinci (makan, minum, eliminasi, grooming, istirahat, dan stereotypes), serta performa kelinci (konsumsi pakan harian, pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH), dan mortalitas kelinci). Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa tingkah laku makan dan istirahat kelinci pada perlakuan A dan B tidak berbeda nyata. Selanjutnya tingkah laku grooming pada perlakuan tingkat kebisingan B nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan pada tingkat kebisingan A dan tingkah laku minum, eliminasi, begerak, dan stereotypes pada perlakuan tingkat kebisingan A nyata lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perlakuan tingkat kebisingan B. Konsumsi pakan dan PBBH kelinci yang dipelihara pada tingkat kebisingan yang lebih tinggi mengalami penurunan. Selanjutnya kematian terjadi pada kelinci yang dipelihara dengan tingkat kebisingan yang lebih tinggi.
Noise is one of the stressors that can affect the performance of rabbits. This study aims to evaluate the daily behavior and performance of local male rabbits with different noise levels. This study uses an independent T test analysis to compare 2 treatments, namely the noise level A, which is 40-50 db (noise level in the surrounding area of the study) and the noise level B, which is 80-90 db (noise regulated using music speakers). The observed variables were daily behavior of rabbits (eating, drinking, elimination, grooming, resting, and stereotypes), as well as rabbit performance (daily feed consumption, daily body weight gain (PBBH), and rabbit mortality). The results of the analysis showed that the eating and resting behavior of rabbits in treatments A and B were not significantly different. Furthermore, grooming behavior in noise level B treatment was significantly higher than noise level A and drinking, elimination, moving, and stereotyping behavior in noise level treatment A was significantly higher than noise level B treatment. Feed consumption and PBBH of rabbits reared at higher noise levels decreased. Further deaths occurred in rabbits kept with higher noise levels.
