Broiler chickens are livestock that are susceptible to infection with pathogenic microorganisms. so that many breeders use antibiotic growth Promoter (AGP). AGP is a feed additive that is given to stimulate growth and improve the digestive tract, but now the use of AGP has been banned. The AGP ban has caused a shift in the use of feed additives such as phytogenic feed additives. One of the plants that has the potential to be used as an alternative phytogenic feed additive to AGP is citrus leaves. Citrus leaves have active secondary metabolites. Many studies in vitro reported on the activity of lime leaves against E. coli and S. aureus. Both of these bacteria are commonly found in broiler chickens which can interfere with the health and performance of broiler chickens. Therefore, this study aims to integrate various studies in order to obtain comprehensive information on the activity of lime leaves against E. coli and S. aureus with meta-analysis studies. This research was carried out by collecting studies of citrus leaves from various species, origin, extraction methods, and different antibacterial test methods and comparing the treatment of citrus leaves with controls in inhibiting E. coli and S. aureus by looking at the diameter of the inhibition zone. The first step was to integrate 45 studies on the test of lime leaves against E. coli and 24 studies on the test of lime leaves against S. aureus. The study comes from Scopus, PubMed, Google Scholar, and Crossref via software Publish or Persist. The articles obtained are then selected using software Mendeley by looking at the title and abstract. The data needed in this study were control and experimental treatment (addition of lime leaves) which included the mean value, number of samples, and standard deviation. The eligible articles were then tabulated with MS Excel 2010 and analyzed using software OpenMee with effect size value using Hedge's d. The results showed that lime leaf as an alternative phytogenic feed additive to AGP was effective in inhibiting E. coli and S. aureus. Bacterial inhibitory ability E. coli and S. aureus influenced by differences in species of citrus leaves, origin of citrus leaves, and extraction method, while the differences level and antibacterial test method had no effect on the inhibition of E. coli and S. aureus. Citrus leaf extract at a low concentration of 5 mg/ml was able to inhibit bacteriaE coli, while in inhibiting S. aureus requires the lowest concentration of 50 mg/ml.
