Abstract: Keberadaan Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda dapat menjadi tempat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi rumah tangga, seperti menjadi pedagang. Sebagian besar pedagang merupakan masyarakat asli yang tinggal di sekitar Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda. Dengan begitu, keterlibatan anggota rumah tangga sangat penting untuk menentukan keberhasilan usaha. Tujuan penelitian ini, yakni menganalisis hubungan karakteristik rumah tangga dan usaha dengan tingkat kesetaraan gender. Kemudian, untuk menganalisis hubungan tingkat kesetaraan gender dengan keberhasilan usaha. Responden penelitian ini berjumlah 40 pedagang, yakni pedagang di dalam kawasan Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda yang ditentukan melalui accidental random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dan didukung dengan data kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam, serta observasi. Pada hasil penelitian perempuan lebih mendominasi pada kontrol terhadap sumber daya dan manfaat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usia pedagang, tingkat pendidikan pedagang, pendapatan pedagang, dan anggota rumah tangga yang bekerja sebagai pedagang di dalam kawasanTaman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda pada karakteristik rumah tangga, serta lama usaha pada karakteristik usaha memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan salah satu dari beberapa tingkat kesetaraan gender. Namun, hubungan antara tingkat kesetaraan gender dengan keberhasilan usaha menunjukkan tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan.
The presence of Djuanda Forest Park can be a place to fulfill household economic needs, such as being a merchant. Most of the merchants are indigenous people who live around the Djuanda Forest Park. Hence, the involvement of household members is essential to determine the success of the business. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between household and business characteristics with the level of gender equality. Also, to analyze the relationship between the level of gender equality and business success. Respondents of this study were collected by simple accidental sampling with a total of 40 merchants in the Djuanda Forest Park. This study uses a quantitative approach which is carried out using a questionnaire and is supported by qualitative data through in-depth interviews and observations. In this study, women dominate the control over resources and benefits. The results showed that the age of merchants, level of education of merchants, income of merchants, and household members who work as merchants in the area of Djuanda Forest Park on household characteristics, and length of business on business characteristics had a significant relationship with one of several levels of gender equality. However, the relationship between the level of gender equality with business success shows that there is no significant relationship.
