Abstract: Cacing tanah Lumbricus rubellus mulai digemari oleh masyarakat karena memiliki banyak manfaat sehingga banyak produsen cacing yang mendistribusikan cacing tanah, namun tidak memperhatikan pengangkutan cacing tanah yang dapat mempengaruhi performanya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media dan lama pengangkutan yang berbeda terhadap performa cacing tanah Lumbricus rubellus. Penelitian ini menggunakan cacing tanah Lumbricus rubellus sebanyak 13.5 kg, kotoran sapi perah dan kotoran sapi potong yang diangkut selama 1 jam, 2 jam, dan 3 jam. Peubah yang diamati meliputi susut cacing, persentase susut, suhu, kelembaban, dan pH. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dua faktor. Data dianalisis ragam (ANOVA) dan hasil analisis yang berbeda nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jenis media dan lama pengangkutan berpengaruh nyata (P<0.05) terhadap performa cacing tanah. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa media kotoran sapi potong dan lama pengangkutan 1 jam memiliki performa terbaik.
Lumbricus rubellus is one type of earthworm that are starting to be liked by the community because it has many benefits so many worm producers distribute earthworms, but do not pay attention to the transportation of earthworms which can affect their performance. This study aims to determine the effect of different media and transportation time on the performance of Lumbricus rubellus earthworm. This study used 13.5 kg of Lumbricus rubellus, dairy dung, and beef dung transported for 1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours. The observed variables included weight loss, percentage of weight loss, temperature, humidity, and pH. The data were analyzed for variance (ANOVA) and the results of the analysis were significantly different, followed by the Tukey test. The results showed that the type of media and transportation time had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the performance of Lumbricus rubellus earthworms. The results showed that beef dung media and 1 hour transportation had the best performance.
