The Covid-19 pandemic spread quickly in Indonesia, causing severe physical illness. As a result of society's impact on the social environment, the emergence of this virus has resulted in psychological disease. The growing number of people infected with this virus has forced the Covid-19 referral hospital, the Ahmad Yani Regional General Hospital (RSUD) Ahmad Yani, to close. Planning a healing garden appropriate for the Covid-19 pandemic in the Ahmad Yani Hospital environment can be considered by the local government and hospital management to improve the psychological health of health workers, patients, and visitors in the hospital environment. The healing garden can provide users with psychological therapy. Furthermore, this healing garden can be used anytime, not during a pandemic. The purpose of this study is to provide recommendations for the design of the healing garden at Ahmad Yani Hospital based on perceptions and preferences, to know the psychological conditions during the pre-test and post-test, to know the significance of the healing garden as a medium for psychological therapy, and to analyze the effect of healing garden therapy on the psychological condition of health workers, patients, and patient's families. Field studies, questionnaires, interviews, and literature reviews were used in the research. Two research instruments were used: psychological instruments, perception instruments, and preferences related to the healing garden. The descriptive analysis (crosstabulation), spatial analysis, validity test, reliability test, and Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test were used to analyze the data. The preparation stage for interpreting the Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test results is included in the research stages, while the design stage includes the inventory stage to design recommendations. A healing garden in the hospital area is considered necessary because it can serve as a relaxation area and a medium for psychological therapy for users during the Covid-19 pandemic and when there is no pandemic. Healing gardens are most effective when they are spread out throughout the hospital. Healing gardens designed with a biophilic approach and environmentally oriented can significantly improve an individual's psychological condition. These psychological conditions are examples of anxiety, stress, depression, and insomnia. Based on the Wilcoxon test results, it can be concluded that the healing garden can significantly improve the psychological condition of the respondents (Asymp Sig. < 0,05). The most effective elements in improving individual psychology are the diversity of plants, the use of natural materials and colors, and the diversity of space. Based on the results of the visual healing garden, it was found that individuals prefer gardens F, A, C, and G. This is because these gardens use natural elements, there is a positive distraction, and there is much vegetation. This study has limitations, namely that it has not considered the bias caused by the device and the eye distance between the individual and the screen during virtual therapy screenings.
