dc.description.abstractSisa metabolisme organisme, sisa pakan, dan bangkai makro organisme maupun mikro organisme dapat menghasilkan bahan organik dan Total Ammonia Nitrogen (TAN) dalam perairan. TAN merupakan suatu senyawa anorganik yang terdiri dari amonia terionisasi (NH4+) dan amonia tidak terionisasi (NH3). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengukur toksisitas TAN terhadap udang vaname (L. vannamei) pada konsentrasi salinitas berbeda. Penelitian dilakukan selama tujuh hari dengan konsentrasi TAN perlakuan sebesar 40 mg L-1 pada salinitas 5 g L-1, 15 g L-1 dan 25 g L-1. NH4Cl digunakan sebagai bahan pembuatan larutan stok TAN dengan konsentrasi 10.000 mg L-1 yang disimpan pada botol gelap dengan suhu rendah. Survival Rate (SR), pertumbuhan bobot mutlak, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, Total Haemocite Count (THC) dan glukosa tubuh diukur pada akhir penelitian untuk melihat pengaruh konsentrasi salinitas terhadap toksisitas amonia. Perbedaan konsentrasi salinitas terbukti berpengaruh nyata terhadap SR udang yang dikultur pada lingkungan dengan konsentrasi amonia yang tinggi, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bobot mutlak dan pertumbuhan panjang mutlak udang. SR yang dihasilkan pada konsentrasi salinitas 5 g L-1, 15 g L-1 dan 25 g L-1 adalah sebesar 66,67%; 83,33% dan 96,67%; sedangkan pertumbuhan bobot mutlak berturut-turut sebesar 0,14 g; 0,18 g dan 0,15 g. Pertumbuhan panjang mutlak udang sebesar 0,39 cm; 0,49 cm dan 0,53 cm. Terdapat peningkatan respons fisiologis berupa THC dan glukosa pada udang yang diberi perlakuan penambahan TAN 40 mg L-1.id
dc.description.abstractThe rest of the metabolism of organisms, feed residues, and the carcasses of macroorganisms and microorganisms can produce organic matter and Total Ammonia Nitrogen (TAN) in waters. TAN is an inorganic compound consisting of ionized ammonia (NH +) and non-ionized ammonia (NH ). This study was 4 3 conducted to measure the toxicity of TAN to white shrimp (L. vannamei) at different salinity concentrations. The study was conducted for seven days with a TAN concentration of 40 mg L-1 at 5 g L-1, 15 g L-1 and 25 g L-1. NH4Cl was used as an ingredient for making TAN stock solution with a concentration of 10.000 mg L-1 which was stored in dark bottles at low temperature. Survival Rate (SR), absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, Total Haemocite Count (THC) and body glucose were measured at the end of the study to see the effect of salinity concentration on ammonia toxicity. The difference in salinity concentration was proven to have a significant effect on the SR of shrimp cultured in an environment with high ammonia concentrations, but did not significantly affect the growth of absolute weight and absolute length of shrimp. The SR produced at salinity concentrations of 5 g L-1, 15 g L-1 and 25 g L-1 were 66.67%, 83.33% and 96.67%, while the absolute weight growth was 0.14 g, 0.18 g and 0.15 g. The absolute length growth of shrimp was 0.39 cm, 0.49 cm and 0.53 cm. There was an increase in physiological responses in the form of THC and glucose in shrimp treated with the addition of TAN 40 mg L-1.id
