Abstract: Tempat pembuangan sampah menghasilkan polusi air dalam kuantitas yang besar, sehingga membutuhkan unit pengolahan kontak stabilisasi guna mereduksi kandungan pencemar pada air lindi.
Landfills produce water pollution in large quantities, which requiring a contact stabilization treatment unit to reduce the pollutant content in leachate. This study aims to obtain a biokinetic relationship to the performance of the contact unit in order to enchance contaminant efficiency for improving the quality effluent. The research was started by configurating contact stabilization tank, analyzing the wastewater quality parameters, predicting biokinetic parameters, and predicting biokinetics to estimate water quality effluent and design aspect. Based on result of the research, the percentages of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) efficiency in each Hydraulic Retention Time (HRT) contact tank 2, 3, and 4 hours, respectively, were 26.9%; 35.1%; and 46.5%, respectively. The effect of biokinetics on contact tank treatment units is not only to predict wastewater treatment, but also to design, operate and control treatment systems. dst ...
