Islamic finance is a financial concept that uses Islamic values in its implementation. The Islamic finance strongly upholds the value of justice, prohibits riba (interest), and gharar (lack of information). Therefore, Islamic finance has the concept of profit sharing or also known as Profit Loss Sharing (PLS) which is a cooperation agreement between two or more parties to conduct a business with an agreement that profits or losses will be shared. With this profit sharing concept, no party will be exploited or harmed. In this scientific work, the addition of tabarru' funds into the PLS model is carried out. Tabarru' funds are a collection of funds originating from traders where if there is a loss, the trader will get the funds back as compensation. Conclusions are drawn by comparing the results of calculating profits from the profit sharing model or PLS and the PLS model with the addition of tabarru' funds. The results obtained indicate that the PLS model is more profitable for traders and investors compared to the PLS model with additional tabarru' funds. |
