Pengaruh Taraf Pemberian Tepung Daun Bangunbangun (Coleus Amboinicus Lour) Dalam Ransum Induk Babi Menyusui Terhadap Nilai Ekonomi Penampilan Anak Babi Sapihan

Abstract

In the tropic, there was a wild plant called bangun-bangun. This plant is belived could increase the milk production of mammal, especially milk production of woman whose feeding their baby. The aim of this research is to study the economy influance of bangun-bangun leaf meal which is added to the sow’s diet at different level (0; 1,25; 2,5; and 3,75%). The design of this research was completely random design with four replication. The observed parameter was litter size, sow feed intake, litter weight at birth, litter weight at weaning, litter weight gain, milk production, body weight gain, feed cost, total production cost and the weaned piglet economy effect. Result of this research showed that at level 1,25% bangun-bangun leaf meal in sow’s diet, gave biggest profit than another level in economy of weaned piglet. The profit of a weaned piglet can increase until 17,21% from the usual advantage (level 0%). Bangun-bangun leaf meal in sow’s diet didn’t have significant effect on litter size, sow feed intake, litter weight at birth, pig weight at weaning, litter weight gain, milk production and body weight gain.
