Seagrass beds have an important role in maintaining the balance of the sea as a recycler of nutrients in the waters, but have threats to their habitat due to various factors so that they can be lost in a coastal area.. One of the efforts to restore the seagrass beds is by transplantation. The objective of this research was to apply two methods of seagrass transplantation for Thalassia hemprichii, namely sediment-free sprig anchor (sprig anchor) and sediment-filled hessian bags (hessian bags), also measure its survival and growth rate. Transplantation activities were carried out in March-June on Pramuka Island, Seribu Islands using two methods, each consisting of 40 seedlings. The percentage result of seagrass survival rate using sprig anchor transplantation method is lower (32.5%) than the burlap sack method (87.5%). The length growth of the leaves of T.hemprichii seagrass using the sprig anchor transplant method has a length range of 11.29 – 14.10 cm, while the hessian bags method has a length range of 11.54 – 13.92 cm. The growth rate of seagrass T. hemprichii using the sprig anchor transplant method has a value range of 0 - 0.58 cm/week, while the hessian bags method has a value range of 0 - 1.14 cm/week.
