Abstract: Anak-anak merupakan kelompok yang rentan mengalami masalah gizi. Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh langsung terhadap status gizi anak adalah konsumsi pangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji hubungan pengetahuan gizi dan kualitas konsumsi pangan dengan status gizi siswa Sekolah Dasar di Desa Teluk Batang, Kabupaten Kayong Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang dengan jumlah contoh penelitian sebanyak 60 orang, terdiri atas 19 orang siswa SD Negeri 01 Teluk Batang dan 41 orang siswa MIS Babul Mu’minin. Data diperoleh melalui pengisian kuesioner, recall 2×24 jam, dan pengukuran antropometri. Data dianalisis menggunakan Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16 for Windows. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukan bahwa pengetahuan gizi contoh, pengetahuan gizi ibu, dan kualitas konsumsi pangan tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (P>0,05) dengan status gizi. Namun, tingkat kecukupan protein memiliki hubungan yang signifikan negatif dengan status gizi contoh (P<0,05).
The susceptible group to suffer nutritional problems is children. One factor that directly influences nutritional status is food consumption. This study aimed to examine the correlation of nutrition knowledge, quality of food consumption and nutritional status of primary school children at Teluk Batang Village, Kayong Utara District. The design of this study was cross-sectional using primary data collected by purposive sampling. The total subject of this study was 60 subjects, consisting of 19 SD Negeri 01 Teluk Batang students and 41 MIS Babul Mu’minin students. Data collected using questionnaires, recall 2×24 hours, and anthropometric measurements. Data were analyzed by Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 16 for Windows. The results showed that nutritional knowledge of subject’s, mother’s nutritional knowledge, and quality of food consumption were not significantly correlated with nutritional status (P>0,05). However, adequacy level of protein significantly correlated with nutritional status of subjects (P<0,05).
