Abstract: | Indonesia has great potential in the marine and fishery sector with excellent export products is marine consumption fish and live fish. Freshwater ornamental fish is a type of live fish that is Indonesian leading export commodity. The aims of this study to analyze competitiveness and the affecting factors of Indonesian freshwater ornamental fish export to 10 main destination countries period 2014- 2020. The study used RCA, EPD, X-Model and panel data regression methods. RCA method showed that Indonesian freshwater ornamental fish have strong competitiveness in 10 destination countries. EPD method showed the rising star and falling star market position. X-Model showed that optimistic market developments are in the United States, China and Canada. Meanwhile, the other seven destination countries have potential market development. Based on panel data regression analysis, export prices, economic distance, and the exchange rate have a negative significant effect of Indonesian freshwater ornamental fish export volume. Meanwhile, the population and the real GDP per capita have a positive significant effect. |
