Abstract: Larva black soldier fly merupakan salah satu bahan lokal yang memiliki kandungan protein tinggi.
Black soldier fly larvae are one of the local ingredients that have high protein content. This study aimed to measure the protein digestibility of BSF larvae meal in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments, namely control (100% commercial feed), BSF 1 (25% BSF larvae meal + 75% commercial feed), BSF 2 (50% BSF larvae meal + 50% commercial feed), BSF 3 (75% BSF larvae meal + 25% commercial feed) each with three replicates. Fish were kept in an aquarium with a stocking density of 8 for 21 days and were fed 3 times a day at satiation. The concentration of 0.6% Cr2O3 in the feed was used as an indicator of digestibility. The results showed that feed digestibility and protein digestibility showed significant differences between BSF 3 treatment and other treatments, but the control and BSF 1 treatments were not significantly different. The results of the digestibility of raw materials showed that BSF 1 was significantly different between other treatments, but BSF 2 and BSF 3 treatments were not significantly different. The results showed that the addition of BSF larvae meal to commercial feed treated with BSF 3 (25% commercial feed + 75% BSF larvae meal) could increase the protein digestibility of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus).
