Abstract: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari profil parameter eritrosit pada induk sapi bunting yang divaksin dengan vaksin AI H5N1. Sebanyak sembilan ekor induk sapi FH bunting trimester akhir, sehat secara klinis digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Induk sapi dibagi ke dalam tiga kelompok (n-3 ekor), yaitu kelompok control (tidak diberi imunomodulator, antigen AI H5N1, dan vaksin AI H5N1 inaktif), kelompok perlakuan 1 (tidak diberi imunomodulator, diberi antigen AI H5N1, dan vaksin AI H5N1 inaktif), dan kelompok perlakuan 2 (diberi imudomodulator, antigen AI H5N1, dan vaksin AI H5N1 inaktif). Imunomodulator (ribonucleotide polypeptide) diberikan secara oral dengan dosis 0,1 mg/kgBB tiga hari berturut-turut. Antigen H5N1 diberikan secara intravena selama tiga hari berturut-turut dengan dosis 104 HAU/ekor. Vaksin AI H5N1 inaktif plus adjuvant diberikan dua kali, masing-masing sebanyak 5 dosis/ekor secara subkutan, dengan interval waktu antar vaksinasi selama dua minggu. Pengambilan sampel darah dilakukan melalui vena coccygea pada saat sebelum vaksinasi pertama, 2 minggu setelah vaksinasi pertama, 2 minggu setelah vaksinasi kedua, satu minggu setelah vaksinasi ketiga, dan 2 minggu setelah vaksinasi ketiga untuk dianalisis terhadap jumlah eritrosit, nilai hematokrit, kadar hemoglobin, dan indeks eritrosit. Hasil pengamatan menujukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan nyata pada jumlah eritrosit, nilai hematokrit, kadar hemoglobin, nilai MCV, MCH, dan MCHC pada induk sapi bunting setelah vaksinasi, baik antar perlakuan maupun antar waktu pengamatan (P>0,05). Vaksinasi menggunakan vaksin Avian Influenza H5N1 inaktif pada induk sapi Friesian Holstein bunting trimester akhir tidak berpengaruh pada nilai parameter eritrosit.
The objective of this experiment was to study the erythrocytes profile in pregnant Friesian Holstein (FH) cows after administered by Avian Influenza H5N1 vaccine. This experiment used nine pregnant FH cows in the last trimester of pregnancy. The cows were divided into three groups that consist of three cows for each group which are the control group (no imunomodulator, no AI H5N1 antigen, and no AI H5NI vaccine), group A (no immunomodulator, but administered with AI H5N1 antigen and AI H5N1 vaccine), and group B (administered with immunomodulator, AI H5N1 antigen, and AI H5N1 vaccine). Immunomodulator (ribonucleotide polypeptide) was administered orally with 0.1 mg/body weight dose. Antigen of inactive H5N1 was given by intravenous administration for consecutively in three times with 104 HAU/each cow. Avian influenza H5N1 inactive commercial vaccine was subcutaneously administered twice, with 5 doses/each cow in 2 weeks of the time interval between vaccination. The blood collection were taken from coccygeal vein before the first vaccination, two weeks after the first vaccination, two weeks after the second vaccination, one week and two weeks after the third vaccination to be analyzed for the number of erythrocytes, haematocrit, haemoglobin, Mean Corpuscular Volume, Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin, and Mean Corpuscular Haemoglobin Concentration. The result showed that the pregnant cow’s erythrocyte parameter were not significantly different between treatments and also between the time of examination (P>0.05). In conclusion, the administration of Avian influenza H5N1 vaccine to the last trimester of pregnancy Friesian Holstein cows didn’t affect the erythrocyte parameter profiles.
