Abstract: Suatu perusahaan perlu mengukur kinerjanya untuk menilai apakah target perusahaan yang dicanangkan telah tercapai. Pengukuran kinerja dapat digunakan perusahaan untuk menjaga daya saingnya. Salah satu metode untuk mengukur kinerja adalah Balanced Scorecard (BSC). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kondisi internal-eksternal, melakukan pengukuran kinerja, dan merancang strategi yang tepat dalam meningkatkan kinerja PT Saptaindra Sejati (PT SIS) melalui pendekatan BSC. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Maret hingga Agustus 2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan PT SIS memiliki struktur organisasi yang luas. PT SIS melakukan pengerukan tanah dan penambangan batu bara sebagai kegiatan produksinya dengan besar volume produksi sesuai dengan kontrak kesepakatan kerja sama antara PT SIS dengan pelanggannya. Industri kontraktor tambang memiliki intensitas persaingan yang relatif rendah. Kinerja PT SIS bila diukur dengan metode BSC memerlukan peningkatan baik pada perspektif keuangan maupun non keuangan. Rekomendasi strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja PT SIS yaitu mengoptimalkan kinerja divisi sales dan marketing, meningkatkan hasil produksi tambang dari pelanggan yang sudah ada, memperluas jangkauan kerja perusahaan, dan membuat “Manpower Bank”.
A company needs to measure its performance to assess whether the company's targets have been achieved. Performance measurement can be used by companies to maintain their competitiveness. One method to measure performance is the Balanced Scorecard (BSC). This study aims to analyze internal-external conditions, measure performance, and design the right strategy in improving the performance of PT Saptaindra Sejati (PT SIS) through the BSC approach. Data collection was carried out from March to August 2021. The results showed that PT SIS had a broad organizational structure. PT SIS carries out overburden removal and coal mining as its production activities with large production volumes in accordance with the cooperation agreement between PT SIS and its customers. The mining contractor industry has a relatively low intensity of competition. The performance of PT SIS when measured by the BSC method requires improvement from both a financial and non-financial perspective. The recommended strategies that can be done to improve the performance of PT SIS are optimizing the performance of the sales and marketing division, increasing mining production from existing customers, expanding the company's work range, and creating a "Manpower Bank".
