Title: Aplikasi Tandan Kosong dan POME sebagai Pupuk Organik pada Tanaman Kelapa Sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) di Kebun Inti Petapahan PT Peputra Masterindo, Kampar, Riau

Abstract: Pengolahan minyak kelapa sawit dari tandan buah segar (TBS) akan menghasilkan limbah tandan kosong dan lumpur berupa solid dan Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME). Limbah tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk organik pada area perkebunan. Kegiatan magang dilaksanakan di Kebun Inti Petapahan PT Peputra Masterindo, Kampar, Riau pada tanggal 18 Januari sampai 17 Mei 2021. Kegiatan magang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknis dan manajerial perkebunan kelapa sawit dengan bekerja secara langsung di lapangan serta mendalami aspek pemanfaatan limbah kelapa sawit. Pengamatan aspek khusus yang dilakukan meliputi kegiatan pemeliharaan blok kontrol, aplikasi tandan kosong dan aplikasi POME, ketepatan dosis pupuk organik, sex ratio, serta produktivitas blok kontrol, aplikasi tandan kosong dan aplikasi POME. Kegiatan pemeliharaan blok terdapat perbedaan pada pemberantasan gulma di gawangan sedangkan pada rencana pemupukan anorganik tidak terdapat perbedaan. Ketepatan dosis pupuk organik di Kebun Inti Petapahan belum sesuai dosis rekomendasi setiap tahunnya. Sex ratio dan produktivitas selama 3 bulan (Januari-Maret) pada tahun 2021 menunjukkan blok aplikasi POME berbeda nyata lebih tinggi daripada blok kontrol, sedangkan blok aplikasi tandan kosong tidak berbeda nyata baik dengan blok kontrol maupun dengan blok aplikasi POME.
Processing of palm oil from fresh fruit bunches will produce waste as empty fruit bunches and mud in the form of solid and POME. The waste can be used as organic fertilizer in plantation areas. The internship activity was carried out at the Petapahan Nucleus Plantation of PT Peputra Masterindo, Kampar, Riau on January 18 to May 17, 2021. The internship aims to improve technical and managerial skills of oil palm plantations by doing activities directly as a worker and exploring aspects of the utilization of oil palm waste. Observations of the specific aspects contained control block maintenance activities, empty bunches application and POME application, accuracy of organic fertilizer dosage, inflorescence sex ratio, as well as productivity at the control block, empty bunches application and POME application. There are differences in the block maintenance activities in weeds control in the gates area, while in inorganic fertilization application there is no difference dosage. The accuracy of the dosage of organic fertilizer in the Petapahan Nucleus Plantation is not eventually in accordance with the recommended portion per year. Observation on sex ratio and productivity for 3 months (January-March) in 2021 showed that POME application block are significantly higher than that of the control block, whereas on empty bunch application area has no significant with the POME application block, as well as with control blocks.
