Abstract: | Probiotik merupakan makanan pelengkap berupa mikroba hidup apatogen
yang berfungsi untuk memperbaiki laju pertumbuhan, efisiensi konversi ransum
dan kesehatan ternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pengaruh
pemberian tiga jenis probiotik yang berbeda dalam air minum terhadap performa
ayam petelur. Peubah yang diamati adalah produktivitas meliputi konsumsi pakan,
bobot telur, produksi telur, konversi pakan, dan income over feed cost. Penelitian
ini menggunakan 20 ekor ayam petelur strain Isa Brown umur 27-31 minggu.
Metode penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari
4 perlakuan dengan 5 ulangan yaitu P0 (air minum tanpa probiotik), P1 (air
minum dengan probiotik Bioterna 1 mL/500 mL air), P2 (air minum dengan
probiotik Gracimax 1 mL/500 mL air) , dan P3 (air minum dengan probiotik EM4
1 mL/500 mL). Performa produksi ayam petelur strain Isa Brown pada penelitian
ini menunjukkan bahwa ayam yang diberikan probiotik Gracimax memiliki nilai
konversi pakan terendah dan nilai income over feed cost yang tinggi. Probiotics are complementary feeds in the form of live, pathogenic microbes that function to improve growth rates, ration conversion efficiency and livestock health. The objective of this study is to identify the effect of giving three different types of probiotics in drinking water on the performance of laying hens. The observed variables were productivity including feed consumption, egg weight, egg production, feed conversion, and income over feed cost. This study used 20 laying hens strain Isa Brown aged 27-31 weeks. The research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments with 5 replications, namely P0 (drinking water without probiotics), P1 (drinking water with Bioterna probiotics 1 mL/500 mL water), P2 (drinking water with Gracimax probiotik 1 mL/500 mL water), and P3 (drinking water with probiotic EM4 1 mL/500 mL). The production performance of laying hens Isa Brown strain in this study showed that the chickens given the Gracimax probiotic had the lowest feed conversion value and the high income over feed cost value. |
