dc.description.abstract | Peningkatan jumlah penduduk akan diikuti dengan meningkatnya jumlah konsumsi pangan, salah satunya permintaan terhadap daging sapi. Namun, penyediaan daging dan konsumsi protein dari ternak masih sangat rendah. Sehingga peternak perlu meningkatkan produksi daging untuk pemenuhan protein hewani bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan inseminasi buatan pada ternak di Indonesia terus dilakukan dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas, populasi dan produksi ternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi tingkat keberhasilan inseminasi buatan pada sapi potong sebagai evaluasi pelaksanaan program inseminasi buatan di Kabupaten Garut berdasarkan data service per conception (S/C), conception rate (CR), dan calving rate (CvR). Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Dinas Perikanan dan Peternakan Kabupaten Garut dalam kurun waktu 2019- 2020. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai S/C, CR dan CvR berturut-turut 1,52 1,69, dan 78% 79%, serta 46% 64%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelaksanaan program Inseminasi Buatan (IB) di Kabupaten Garut dilihat dari nilai S/C dan CR melebihi pencapaian skala nasional, namun nilai angka kelahiran (CvR) memiliki persentase yang rendah dikarenakan faktor penjualan betina bunting yang masih tinggi dan permasalahan dalam pendataan kelahiran. | id |
dc.description.abstract | The increase in population will be followed by an increase in the amount of food consumption such as beef. However, the supply of meat and protein consumption from livestock isstill very low.Therefor farmers need to increase meat production to fulfill the demand of animal protein. Artificial insemination activities in livestock in Indonesia conducted in order to improve the quality, population and production of livestock. This study aimed to evaluate artificial insemination program in Garut Regency based on data on service per conception (S/C), Conception rate (CR), and calving rate (CvR). The secondary data from the Garut Regency Fisheries and Livestock Service in the 2019-2020 period was used in this study. The results showed that the values of S/C, CR and CvR were 1.52 1.69 and 78% 79% and 46% 64%, respectively. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Artificial Insemination (IB) program was achieved of national target, based on the value of S/C and CR. However,the number of calving rate (CvR) still in low percentage due to the high sales factor of pregnant females and problems in birth registration. | id |
