| Abstract: | Pelatihan sangat diperlukan dalam sebuah perusahaan untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara kepentingan kompetensi dan kompetensi aktual karyawan. Sebelum melaksanakan pelatihan, penting untuk dilakukan analisis kebutuhan pelatihan agar pelatihan dapat dilaksanakan secara efektif dan efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan memetakan kebutuhan pelatihan karyawan asisten tanaman di PTPN VII Lampung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan model analisis kebutuhan pelatihan Borich model, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), dan uji analisis Kruskal Wallis. Responden di dalam penelitian ini adalah asisten tanaman PTPN VII Lampung yang berjumlah 90 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi kuesioner dan wawancara mendalam dengan karyawan asisten tanaman dan atasannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, prioritas kebutuhan pelatihan karyawan asisten tanaman di PTPN VII Lampung adalah pelatihan kompetensi relationship building, yang memiliki nilai mean weight discrepancies score (MWDS) tertinggi sebesar 6,36. Hasil pemetaan IPA pada kuadran 1 menunjukkan kompetensi yang menjadi prioritas utama untuk segera diperbaiki yaitu risk of production, information seeking, achievement orientation, decision making dan relationship building. Sedangkan hasil uji Kruskal Wallis menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap prioritas kebutuhan pelatihan asisten tanaman ditinjau dari kelompok karakteristik responden (pendidikan terakhir, umur, masa kerja jabatan dan masa kerja total). Implikasi manajerial penelitian ini yaitu dengan melakukan intervensi non-pelatihan diantaranya dengan meningkatkan jadwal agenda pertemuan atau koordinasi rutin pekanan/bulanan. Di samping itu, perlu ditingkatkan sarana dan prasarana teknologi telekomunikasi dan akses jaringan internet pada masing-masing afdeling yang tersebar di berbagai lokasi unit kebun. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi yang merupakan gap level teratas dan prioritas perlu ditingkatkan untuk asisten tanaman saat ini berdasarkan kamus kompetensi perusahaan yaitu relationship building. Training is indispensable in a company in order to bridge the gap between importance competency and employees' actual competences. Before carrying out training, it is important to conduct a training needs analysis so that training can be carried out effectively and efficiently. This study aims for training needs analysis of plant assistants at PTPN VII Lampung. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative using training needs assessment Borich models, importance performance analysis (IPA) and Kruskal Wallis test. The informants in this study were plant assistants of PTPN VII Lampung, which are 90 persons. The data collection techniques included questionnaires and in-depth interview with plant assistant employees and their supervisors. Based on the results, the priority needs of training for plant assistant employees at PTPN VII Lampung is training for relationship building competency, which has the highest mean weight discrepancies scores (MWDS) value of 6,36. The results of IPA mapping show in quadrant 1, competencies are the top priority for immediate improvement. The company should provide training programs for plant assistants, which focuses on the risk of production, information seeking, achievement orientation, decision making and relationship building. The results of the Kruskal Wallis test showed that there was no significant difference in the priority of plant assistant training needs in terms of the respondent's characteristic group (last education, age, tenure, and total tenure). Managerial research implies that by doing non-training intervention such as by increasing the scheduled agenda of meetings or coordinating routine the weekly / monthly. In addition to that, needs to be improved facilities and infrastructure technology of telecommunications and access network internet in each section are scattered in various locations unit garden.This study concludes that competency is the top level of gaps and priority needs improvement for current plant assistants based on the company's competency dictionary, namely relationship building.
