Pengaruh Karakteristik Wirausaha terhadap Keberlanjutan Usaha Mahasiswa Peserta Program Wirausaha di IPB

Abstract

Institut Pertanian Bogor merupakan salah satu lembaga perguruan tinggi negeri yang berperan aktif dalam menggencarkan program-program kewirausahaan seperti PMW, PKM-K, dan KBMI. Namun, beberapa penelitian menyebutkan bahwa tingkat keberlanjutan usaha mahasiswanya masih tergolong rendah. Karakteristik wirausaha diduga sebagai salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi keberlanjutan usaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberlanjutan usaha dari masing-masing program wirausaha dan menganalisis pengaruh karakteristik wirausaha terhadap keberlanjutan usaha mahasiswa peserta program wirausaha di IPB. Data diambil menggunakan metode survei kepada 58 orang mahasiswa yang masih melanjutkan usahanya setelah program berakhir. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan SEM-PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) tingkat keberlanjutan usaha mahasiswa dari masing-masing peserta program wirausaha memiliki tingkatan yang berbeda-beda; (2) karakteristik orientasi masa depan dan kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan usaha, karakteristik percaya diri dan berani mengambil risiko memiliki hubungan positif namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan usaha, karakteristik kreatif inovatif memiliki hubungan negatif dan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keberlanjutan usaha.

IPB University is one of the state higher education institutions that plays an active role in intensifying entrepreneurship programs such as PMW, PKM-K, and KBMI. However, several studies state that the level of business sustainability of students is still relatively low. Entrepreneurial characteristics are thought to be one of the factors that can affect business sustainability. This study aims to determine the level of business sustainability of each entrepreneurial program and analyze the influence of entrepreneurial characteristics on the business sustainability of students participating in the entrepreneurial program at IPB. Data were taken using a survey method to 58 students who were still continuing their business after the program ended. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS. The results showed that (1) the level of business sustainability of students from each participant of the entrepreneurship program has different levels; (2) the characteristics of future orientation and leadership have a positive and significant effect on business sustainability, the characteristics of being confident and willing to take risks have a positive relationship but have no significant effect on business sustainability, the characteristics of creative and innovative have a negative relationship and have no significant effect on business sustainability.
