Abstract: | Gamal (Gliricidia sepium) merupakan tanaman yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber energi alternatif pengganti bahan bakar fosil yang keberadaannya semakin sedikit dan tidak dapat diperbaharui. Gamal memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai bahan baku energi baru dan terbaharukan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktorial untuk stump yang terdiri dari dua faktor perlakuan yaitu lama penyimpanan dan ukuran diameter, serta Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) untuk stek dengan satu faktor yaitu ukuran diameter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor lama penyimpanan, ukuran diameter, dan interaksinya tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap persentase hidup, persentase bertunas, dan persentase berakar. Faktor tunggal lama penyimpanan stump memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter panjang akar, jumlah akar, panjang tunas, dan jumlah tunas. Faktor tunggal ukuran diamater hanya berpengaruh nyata pada parameter jumlah tunas, sedangkan pada parameterpanjang akar, jumlah akar, dan panjang tunas tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata. Faktor ukuran diameter stek berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter persentase hidup, persentase bertunas, jumlah akar, panjang tunas, dan Jumlah tunas; sedangkan terhadap parameter persentase berakar dan panjang akar memberikan pengaruh yang tidak nyata. Gamal (Gliricidia sepium) is a plant that can be used as an alternative energy source to replace fossil fuels whose existence is decreasing and cannot be renewed. Gamal has great potential to be developed as a raw material for new and renewable energy in Indonesia. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) for stump which consisted of two treatment factors, namely storage time and diameter size, and Completely Randomized Design (CRD) for cuttings with one factor, diameter size. The results showed that the factor of storage time, diameter size, and their interactions did not significantly affect the percentage of survival, percentage of sprouting, and percentage of rooted. The single factor of stump storage time had a significant effect on the parameters of root length, number of roots, shoot length, and number of shoots. The single factor of diameter only had a significant effect on the number of shoots, while on the parameters of root length, number of roots, and shoot length, it had no significant effect. The size factor of cuttings diameter significantly affected the parameters of live percentage, percentage of shoots, number of roots, shoot length, and number of shoots; while the percentage of rooted parameters and root length gave no significant effect.
