Coastal area is a transitional area between land and sea which is very potential to be developed and tends to be under heavy pressure, thus it is vulnerable to change. Remote sensing is an efficient and effective tools in monitoring shoreline changes. This research was conducted on the coast of Sumur, Pandeglang, Banten. The Digital Shoreline Analysis System (DSAS) method was used to calculate the rate of change of the time series of shoreline vector data. The DSAS program requires several parameters in measuring the rate of shoreline change in this study, such as the baseline, tide-corrected shoreline, and transects. Shoreline changes were calculated on the transect by calculating the Net Shoreline Movement (NSM) and End Point Rate (EPR). Abrasion was occurred in subzones A2, A3, B3, C3, D1, D2, and D3. Accretion was occurred in subzones A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, and B3. Larges abrasion in shoreline was occurred in sub zone D1 with a value of -77 m. The larges accretion occurred in the A3 sub zone, which was 61.11 m. The changes are caused by the current along the coast which is influenced by the wind. Changes in the coastline that occur are mild to moderate.
