| Abstract: | Rehabilitasi hutan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan fungsi lahan sekaligus meningkatkan ketahanannya terhadap perubahan iklim. Hutan penelitian Gunung Dahu merupakan lahan berbukit yang telah direhabilitasi dan ditanami lebih dari 25 spesies Dipterocarpaceae, termasuk pohon meranti bukit (Shorea platyclados) dengan berbagai kondisi lokasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui performa pertumbuhan Shorea platyclados pada tingkat kelerengan di lahan miring berbukit serta kondisi lingkungan di areal Hutan Penelitian Gunung Dahu, Kabupaten Bogor, Provinsi Jawa Barat. Parameter pertumbuhan yang diamati adalah diameter batang, tinggi total, luas bidang dasar, Mean Annual Increment (MAI), dan Leaf Area Index (LAI). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemiringan berpengaruh nyata terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan pohon yang ditanam. Tingkat kemiringan sangat curam (> 45%) mendukung rata-rata diameter batang dan tinggi pohon tertinggi (41,48 cm dan 20,86 m). Dengan demikian, meranti bukit (Shorea platyclados) merupakan spesies pohon asli yang prospektif untuk merehabilitasi lanskap dataran tinggi berbukit. Rehabilitation aims to improve landscape function while increase its resilience to climate change. Gunung Dahu research forest is a hilly rehabilitated landscape planted with more than 25 dipterocarp species, including an upper hill dipterocarp tree of Shorea platyclados at various site condition. This study aimed to determine the growth performance of Shorea platyclados at sloping levels on hilly sloping land and environmental conditions in the area of the Gunung Dahu Research Forest, Bogor Regency, West Java Province. Observed growth attributes were stem diameter, total height, basal area, Mean Annual Increment (MAI), and Leaf Area Index (LAI). The results showed that sloping level significantly affect the growth performance of the planted tree. The highest slope level (>45%) supported the highest average stem diameter and tree height (41,48 cm and 20,86 m). Thus, the upper hill dipterocarp of Shorea platyclados is a prospective native tree species for rehabilitating hilly upland landscapes. |
