Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) and blood creatinine are parameters that can indicate impaired kidney function. This study aims to analyze the profile of BUN and blood creatinine in dogs that are treated with a single dose of sarolaner-active ingredients. Sarolaner in a single dose was given orally to 5 dogs that were infested with ticks, then blood was drawn through the cephalic antebrachii vein. Measurements of BUN and dog blood creatinine were carried out one day before treatment (H-0), a week (H+7), and a month after treatment (H+30). The instrument used to measure BUN and blood creatinine levels was Arkray Spotchem TM EZ 4430. Data on BUN and blood creatinine profiles of the five dogs based on time of observation were analyzed using the one way ANOVA test. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the levels of BUN and blood creatinine in dogs at various observation times (P>0.05). The average BUN and blood creatinine levels of dogs were still in the normal range. This may indicate that the administration of a single dose of Sarolaner does not affect kidney function.
