Performa Penetasan Ayam SENKUB di Kandang Inti Desa Tunggulo dengan Lama Penyimpanan Telur yang Berbeda

Abstract

Telur sebelum inkubasi disimpan terlebih dahulu di ruang penyimpanan telur untuk mencukupi kapasitas telur dalam mesin tetas. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh lama penyimpanan telur ayam SENKUB terhadap performa penetasan. Bahan yang digunakan adalah 120 butir telur ayam SENKUB. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan adalah lama penyimpanan telur yang terdiri atas 3 hari (P1), 5 hari (P2), dan 7 hari (P3). Parameter yang diamati meliputi penyusutan bobot telur, kedalaman kantung udara, fertilitas, daya tetas telur fertil, bobot tetas, salable chick, dan fase kematian embrio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lama penyimpanan telur tetas ayam SENKUB kurang dari 5 hari memiliki hasil performa penetasan yang baik. Penyimpanan yang semakin lama pada telur tetas menyebabkan penurunan kualitas telur yang ditandai dengan menurunnya nilai fertilitas, daya tetas telur fertil, dan salable chick, namun nilai penyusutan bobot telur dan bobot tetas relatif sama. Fase kematian embrio terjadi pada fase awal inkubasi dan akhir inkubasi. Penyebab kematian embrio sebagian besar disebabkan oleh penanganan telur saat proses penetasan.

Eggs before incubation are first stored in the egg storage room to meet the egg capacity in the incubator. This study aims to determine the effect of storage time for SENKUB chicken eggs on hatching performance. The material used is 120 eggs of SENKUB chicken. The design used was a Complete Random Design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments used were egg storage times consisting of 3 days (P1), 5 days (P2), and 7 days (P3). Parameters observed included weight loss of eggs, depth of air sacs, fertility, hatchability of fertile egg, hatching weight, salable chick, and embryonic death phase. The results showed that the storage time for hatching eggs of SENKUB chickens of less than 5 days had food hatching performance. The longer storage of hatching eggs causes a decrease in egg quality which is indicated by a decrease in the value of fertility, hatchability of fertile egg, and salable chick, but weight loss of egg and hatching weight are relatively the same. The embryonic death phase occurs in the early and late incubation phases. The cause of embryo death is mostly due to the handling of the eggs during the hatching process.
