Pengaruh Sektor Pariwisata Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Nusa Tenggara Timur

Abstract

Sektor pariwisata merupakan salah satu sektor unggulan Indonesia. Besarnya potensi pariwisata, dapat merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi negara lewat kontribusinya terhadap PDB. Salah satu provinsi yang memiliki keunggulan pada sektor pariwisata adalah provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Namun, meskipun Sektor Pariwisata di NTT memiliki trend yang positif juga pengembangnnya telah didukung oleh pemerintah setempat lewat kebijakan RIPPARDA, perkembangan sektor pariwisata masih tertinggal jika dibandingkan dengan sektor pertanian. Hal ini terlihat dari kontribusi sektor pariwisata terhadap PDRB yang lebih rendah dari kontribusi sektor pertanian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh sektor pariwisata terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di kepulauan Nusa Tenggara Timur selama periode 2015 - 2018. Data yang digunakan adalah data 20 kabupaten/kota di NTT. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan data panel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis variabel jumlah kunjungan wisatawan, jumlah hotel, jumlah restoran dan jumlah daya tarik wisatawan serta variabel pendapatan asli daerah dan angkatan kerja memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Variabel daya tarik wisata merupakan variabel pariwisata yang memiliki pengaruh paling tinggi terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi. Hal ini dapat menjadi perhatian bagi pemerintah untuk mendorong sektor pariwisata menjadi sektor potensial dalam mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi di provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur.

The tourism sector is one of the leading sectors in Indonesia. The magnitude of tourism potential can increase the country's economic growth through its contribution to GDP. One of the provinces that has supermacy in the tourism sector is the province of East Nusa Tenggara. However, although the Tourism Sector in NTT has a positive trend and supported by the local government through the RIPPARDA policy, the development of the tourism sector is still lagging behind the agricultural sector. This can be seen from the contribution of the tourism sector to GDP which is lower than the contribution of the agricultural sector. This study aims to analyze the influence of the tourism sector on economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara during the period 2015 - 2018. The data used is data from 20 districts/cities in NTT. The approach method used is descriptive analysis and panel data. Based on the results of the analysis of the variable, number of tourist visits, the number of hotels, the number of restaurants and the number of tourist attractions as well as the local income and labor force variables have a positive and significant influence on economic growth in East Nusa Tenggara. The tourist attraction variable is the tourism variable that has the highest influence on economic growth. This can be a concern for the government to encourage the tourism sector to become a potential sector in encouraging economic growth in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.
