Abstract: Haemonchosis teridentifikasi sebagai masalah penting pada ruminansia yang disebabkan Haemonchus contortus karena dapat bersifat akut dan berisiko kematian, sehingga diperlukan metode diagnosis secara cepat. Penggunaan aplikasi ImageJ ini dapat membantu proses identifikasi telur Haemonchus contortus melalui biometriknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mempelajari dan mengukur karakteristik telur Haemonchus contortus berdasarkan panjang, lebar, radius mayor, radius minor, luas, keliling, eksentrisitas, dan panjang latus rectum telur. Sebanyak 3 cacing dengan jumlah 10 telur tiap cacing diamati di bawah mikroskop melalui kamera Dino-Eye dengan perbesaran objektif 10x, 20x, dan 40x. Gambar telur diambil menggunakan software Dino-Lite dan diolah menggunakan software ImageJ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan biometrik telur Haemonchus contortus memiliki nilai rata-rata panjang 64,87 ± 5,45 μm, lebar 38,21 ± 2,91 μm, radius mayor 32,67 ± 2,71 μm, radius minor 19,36 ± 1,49 μm, luas menggunakan rumus 1946,57 ± 209,58 μm2, luas menggunakan ImageJ 2017,37 ± 209,62 μm2, keliling menggunakan rumus 161,88 ± 9,35 μm, keliling menggunakan ImageJ 163,90 ± 9,52 μm, eksentrisitas 0,80 ± 0,04, dan panjang latus rectum 22,82 ± 3,92 μm. Telur Haemonchus contortus memiliki bentuk elips yang sangat pipih, bentuk sama pada kedua kutub, dan terdapat sedikit rongga udara antara embrio dengan kulit telur yang tipis.
Haemonchosis has been identified as an important problem in ruminants caused by Haemonchus contortus, since it can be in an acute form and has a risk of death, so a rapid diagnosis method is needed. The use of the ImageJ software can help to identify Haemonchus contortus eggs through their biometrics. This research aimed to study and determine the biometric of Haemonchus contortus eggs based on length, width, radius major, radius minor, area, perimeter, eccentricity, and latus rectum. A total of 3 worms with 10 eggs per worm were observed under microscope through Dino-Eye camera with 10x, 20x, and 40x magnifications. Egg images were taken by Dino-Lite software and processed using ImageJ software. The results showed the biometric of Haemonchus contortus eggs had average length 64.87 ± 5.45 μm, width 38.21 ± 2.91 μm, radius major 32.67 ± 2.71 μm, radius minor 19.36 ± 1.49 μm, area using formula 1946.57 ± 209.58 μm2, area using ImageJ 2017.37 ± 209.62 μm2, perimeter using formula 161.88 ± 9.35 μm, perimeter using ImageJ 163.90 ± 9.52 μm, egg eccentricity 0.80 ± 0.04, and length of latus rectum 22.82 ± 3.92 μm. Haemonchus contortus eggs had a very flat elliptical shape, equal shape at both poles, and clear space between embryo and the thin eggshell.
