Abstract: Koperasi memberikan banyak manfaat bagi petani, antara lain memperkuat posisi tawar petani, memperoleh akses input, pelayanan, pasar dan jasa, serta permodalan. Meskipun demikian, masih banyak petani yang tidak bergabung menjadi anggota koperasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keikutsertaan petani kopi menjadi anggota koperasi dan menganalisis dampak koperasi terhadap kinerja usahatani kopi. Metode yang digunakan adalah logistik biner dan Propensity Score Matching (PSM). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan data sekunder yaitu data survei rumah tangga usaha perkebunan tahun 2014 yang dilakukan oleh BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi petani kopi bergabung pada koperasi secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh faktor umur, lama pendidikan, status kepemilikan lahan, dan sumber modal, dan lokasi tempat tinggal petani. Selain itu, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa koperasi memiliki dampak secara signifikan pada kinerja usaha tani kopi yang diukur dari pendapatan petani kopi, jumlah produksi, dan produktivitas.
Cooperatives provide many benefits for farmers, that it strengthening farmers' the bargaining position, gaining access to inputs, service, markets, services, and capital. However, there are still many farmers not become members of the cooperatives. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the participation of coffee farmers to become members of a cooperative and to analyze the impact of cooperatives on the performance of coffee farming in Indonesia. The method used are binary logistics and Propensity Score Matching (PSM). This research was carried out using secondary data derived from the 2014 survey of plantation business households, which had been carried out by BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics). The study indicates that the factors that influence the participation of coffee farmers in joining cooperatives are significantly influenced by factors of age, length of education, land ownership status, sources of capital, and the location of the farmer's residence. In addition, the results of the study show that cooperatives have a significant impact on the performance of coffee farming as measured by coffee farmers' income, production volume, and productivity.
