Abstract: The black lipped pearl oyester ( Pinctada margaritifera) in one of important species in pearl industry. The object of this study was to determine of genetic diversity by mtDNA PFLP (Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism) method from five populations. A total of 50 individual P. margaritifera were analyzed for genetic variation within a 750-base pair region of the mitochondrial DNA COI gene using RFLP analysis.
