Abstract: Laju pertumbuhan PDRB pada sektor pertanian berdasarkan harga konstan cenderung mengalami penurunan pada tahun 2018-2020. Melihat beragamnya jenis komoditas yang dikembangkan pada sektor pertanian khususnya pada subsektor pangan di Kabupaten Gorontalo, diharapkan adanya komoditas unggulan yang dengan baik dikembangkan dan dapat memberikan dampak yang baik pada pertumbuhan ekonomi Kabupaten Gorontalo khususnya pada sektor pertanian terlebih pada subsektor pangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi komoditas basis dan nonbasis pada subsektor pangan Kabupaten Gorontalo, mengidentifikasi komoditas yang tergolong dalam pertumbuhan progresif serta menentukan komoditas unggulan pada subsektor pangan Kabupaten Gorontalo menggunakan alat analisis LQ (Location Quotient) dan SSA (Shift Share Analysis). Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan komoditas basis yang paling mendominasi pada subsektor pangan Kabupaten Gorontalo adalah padi, jagung dan kedelai, Komoditas subsektor pangan di Kabupaten Gorontalo yang tergolong memiliki pertumbuhan yang progresif atau maju adalah komoditas jagung, padi dan kedelai. Komoditas unggulan di Kabupaten Gorontalo berdasarkan rekapitulasi hasil analisis LQ dan SSA adalah jagung, padi dan kedelai.
The GRDP growth rate in the agricultural sector based on constant prices declines in 2018-2020. Seeing the various types of commodities developed in the agricultural sector, especially in the food subsector in Gorontalo Regency, it is hoped that there will be leading commodities that are well developed and can have a good impact on economic growth in Gorontalo Regency, especially in the agricultural sector, especially in the food subsector. The purpose of this study is to identify basic and non-basic commodities in the food subsector of Gorontalo Regency, identify commodities that are classified as progressive growth, and determine leading commodities in the food subsector of Gorontalo Regency using LQ (Location Quotient) and SSA (Shift Share Analysis) analysis tools. Based on the analysis results, it was found that the most dominating base commodities in the food subsector of Gorontalo Regency are rice, corn, and soybeans. The commodities of the food subsector in Gorontalo Regency, which are classified as having progressive or advanced growth, are corn, rice, and soybeans. The leading commodities in Gorontalo Regency based on the recapitulation of the LQ and SSA analysis results are corn, rice, and soybeans.
