Peranan Sanrego (Lunasia amara Blanco) dalam Memperpendek Siklus Ranggah dan Meningkatkan Libido Seksual Rusa Timor (Cervus timorrensis de Blainville) Jantan.

Abstract

The aims of the research are :1) to explore the role of sanrego in decreasing antler cycle stags and increasing timor stags libido sexual, 2) to observe the appropriate doses of sanrego and 3) to know the sexual behaviour of timor stags. Three difference doses of sanrego ware tested to the timor stags, i.e.6.000 mg, 8.000 mg and 10.000 mg per individual respectively. The role of sanrego in increasing libido sexual was analyzed using completely randomizet design, which was carreid out by significan difference least test. The trials showed that there were significant different (a < 0,05) in increasing libido sexual of timor stags, which was shown by its sexual behavior, i.e. approaching of famale (14,7±9,4), smelling the vulva (31,8±30,1), crying stage (10,7±5,0), wallowing in a mudhole (6,7±2,8), scrubing its velvet (8,2±5,0), agonistic (12,6±9,4) and mounting female (11,6±13,8), and there was no significant different in copulation activity (0,1±0,3). The use of sanrego of 10.000 mg doses gave the highest sexual, which was shown by the appearance shedding (4 th day), activities highest sexual, the longest performance of sexual activities (10 days) and the respon to sexual appearance (4th day). The sexual behaviour of timor stags was defined by: 1) approaching and driving the estrus female, wallowing, scrubing its velvet, 2) kissing of estrus female, agonistic to other males, kissing urine of estrus female and crying stage 3) erection, 4) mounting 5) intromision, 6) ejaculation, 7) refraktorinese. The total sexual activities was appeared within nine days.
