dc.description.abstractKunci utama dalam mengatasi obesitas adalah pembatasan asupan energi dan peningkatan aktivitas fisik. Puasa merupakan salah satu upaya pencegahan obesitas melalui pendekatan diet. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektifitas puasa Daud terhadap penurunan berat badan dan komposisi lemak tubuh pada dewasa muda overweight dan obese. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain experimental study dengan melibatkan 39 subjek yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok (intervensi dan kontrol). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok intervensi mengalami penurunan berat badan (-1,7 ± 1,3 kg), IMT (-0,6 ± 0,5 kg/m2), dan level lemak viseral (-0,6 ± 0,5) secara signifikan setelah berpuasa Daud selama 4 minggu. Persentase lemak tubuh kelompok intervensi cenderung menurun (-0,1 ± 0,8%), tetapi tidak signifikan. Tingkat kecukupan energi (p = 0,001), protein (p = 0,002), lemak (p = 0,010), dan karbohidrat (p = 0,000) kelompok intervensi menurun signifikan pada hari puasa dibandingkan hari makan. Tingkat aktivitas fisik antar kelompok tidak berbeda nyata, baik pada hari puasa (p = 0,213) maupun hari makan (p = 0,239). Kelompok intervensi tidak mengalami penurunan aktivitas fisik yang signifikan pada hari puasa dibandingkan dengan hari makan (p = 0,739).id
dc.description.abstractCalorie restriction and increasing physical activity are the main keys in overcoming obesity. Fasting is one of the effort to prevent obesity through a diet approach. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Daud fasting on weight loss and body fat composition in overweight and obese young adults. This study used an experimental design involving 39 subjects which divided into 2 groups (intervention and control). Results showed that intervention group lost body weight (-1,7 ± 1,3 kg), BMI (-0,6 ± 0,5 kg/m2), and visceral fat levels (-0,6 ± 0,5) significantly after 4 weeks of Daud fasting. Body fat percentage in intervention group tended to decrease (-0,1 ± 0,8%), but not significant. The adequacy level of energy (p = 0,001), protein (p = 0,002), fat (p = 0,010), and carbohydrates (p = 0,000) in intervention group decreased significantly on fasting day, compared to feasting day. Physical activity level between groups was not significantly different, both on fasting day (p = 0,213) and feasting day (p = 0,239). The physical activity of intervention group did not decrease significantly on fasting day, compared to feasting day (p = 0,739).id
