The peatland fire extinguisher developed is a foam concentrate in liquid form. The liquid form is less stable and applicable in the field. The purpose of this study was to develop a powder fire extinguishing agent formula. The stages of this research include determining the initial formula of the ingredients, the initial formulation by treating monoammonium phosphate and magnesium sulfate, testing samples and determining the best formula. The best results were carried out by fire fighting performance tests using laboratory scale peat soil samples. The results of processing using the simple additive weighting method showed that the MR 4 sample was the best alternative with a combination of monoammonium phosphate and magnesium sulfate at 47.62% and 4.76%. The blackout test shows the sample can save 21% water and increase the blackout speed by up to 25%. |
