Abstract: Sub sub DAS Cibitung dan Sub sub DAS Cisembung merupakan bagian dari DAS Citarum Hulu yang pengelolaannya perlu diprioritaskan, seperti melalui kegiatan Rehabilitasi Hutan dan Lahan (RHL). Karakteristik hidrologi pada kedua Sub sub DAS digunakan sebagai pendekatan dalam monitoring dan evalusi lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik hidrologi penggunaan lahan eksisting dan setelah penerapan RHL pada kedua Sub sub DAS tersebut. Model Soil and Water Assessment Tools (SWAT) digunakan sebagai penduga karakteristik hidrologi dengan input data DEM, penggunaan lahan, dan data klimatologi. Tahapan penelitian terdiri dari pengumpulan dan analisis data tanah (primer dan sekunder), delineasi DAS, pembentukan HRU, running SWAT kondisi penggunaan lahan eksisting dan skenario RHL. Aliran lateral menjadi penyumbang terbesar terhadap aliran total pada Sub sub DAS Cibitung, sedangkan aliran permukaan menjadi penyumbang terbesar pada Sub sub DAS Cisembung. Aliran permukaan dan hasil sedimen pada Sub sub DAS Cibitung lebih kecil dibandingkan Sub sub DAS Cisembung. Aliran lateral Sub sub DAS Cibitung bernilai lebih besar dibandingkan Sub sub DAS Cisembung. Rata-rata debit aliran pada kedua wilayah bervariasi. Penerapan skenario RHL mampu menurunkan aliran permukaan, menaikkan aliran lateral, mengurangi besarnya fluktuasi debit aliran, dan menurunkan hasil sedimen. Cibitung and Cisembung Sub-watersheds are part of Upper Citarum watershed which is its management must be prioritized, such as through the forest and land rehabilitation (RHL) activity. The hydrological characteristics of subwatersheds were used as an approach in further monitoring and evaluation. This study aims was to analyze the hydrological characteristics of existing land use and implementation of RHL in the two Sub-watersheds. The Soil and Water Assessment Tools (SWAT) model was used to analyze the hydrological characteristics. The study consisted of collecting and analyzing soil data (primer and secondary sources), watershed delineation, the establishment of HRUs, running SWAT of the existing land use conditions and the RHL scenarios. Lateral flow is the largest contributor to total flow in the Cibitung Sub-watershed, while surface flow is the largest contributor in the Cisembung Sub-watershed. Surface flow and sediment yields in the Cibitung Sub-watershed are smaller than the Cisembung Sub-watershed. The lateral flow of the Cibitung Sub-watershed is greater than the Cisembung Sub-watershed lateral flow. The average streamflow in the two Sub-watersheds varied. The implementation of the RHL scenarios reduce surface flow, increase lateral flow, reduce the magnitude of streamflow fluctuation, and reduce sediment yield.
