Arecaceae is one of several plantation commodities in Indonesia. The study of Arecaceae bacterial endophyte is still very few. This research aimed to obtain endophytic bacteria in roots and leaves of Arecaceae family such as pejibaye (Bactris gasipaes), palm oil (Elaeis guinensis), kopyor coconut (Cocos nucifera), palm (Arenga pinata) and Nibung (Oncosperma filamentous). Roots and leaves samples were taken from two different ecosystems: experimental forest and research field area. Leaves and roots samples were surface sterilized, and endophytic bacteria were extracted on agar media. Morphological observation and Gram test were conducted. The results showed that the abundance of microbe in a given volume of extracts was very diverse. The quantity of endophytic bacteria contained in roots and leaves samples are in the range of 104-105 and 102-104 colonies per sample, respectively. The total of endophytic bacteria that were succesfully isolated in this research is 656 isolates with the proportion of Gram negative and Gram positive are 76 percent and 24 percent, respectively.id
