Analisis kebijakan pengembangan perikanan di Wilayah Pesisir Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur, Provinsi Jambi

Abstract

Tanjung Jabung Timurb was established by Regulation Number 44 1999. In the future, the role of fisheries sector can be expected increase because the simple of control span as consequences of autonomy. On the other hand, decision making needs consideration on economy, ecology and social aspect to ensure the sustainable development. One of three aspect to formulate decision is by research. This research was carried out on April to June 2005. The aim of this research is to formulate policy, strategy, action plan of fisheries development and to assess autonomy and function of related institution. Data analysis use AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) in Cost and Benefit Frame, SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) Analysis and Authority and Function Analysis. The first of analysis result is capture fisheries, the second quality control of fish product, the third shrimps culture, the fourth shrimps breeding and the last marine culture development There are 10 strategies to follow up this policy, which was implemented on 31 programs. Utilization of coastal fisheries resources in this regency can be expected based on policy, priority strategy and also related institution. .
