Strategi Revitalisasi Posyandu dalam Rangka Meningkatkan Pembangunan Kesehatan di Kecamatan Pekanbaru Kota, Kota Pekanbaru

Abstract

Quality of human resource is the main capital and investation in health development. Health and education supported by economic sector become development fondation affecting human resource’s quality of life. Posyandu is one of the efforts of local government in increasing health development. The functions of Posyandu are to increase health and empower people in receiving basic health service. The aims of this reserch such as (1) assess function and work ethic of Posyandu, (2) analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats faced by Posyandu, (3) formulate the effective strategies and programs to revitalize Posyandu. This research used qualitative method through SWOT analysis. The analysis result indicated that some weaknessess in Pekanbaru Kota Regency Posyandu, especially in basic health sercive and resources of Posyandu. Alternative strategies recommended such as improve activities of Posyandu, allocate regional budget to repair physical resources, empower cadre of Posyandu, and increase Posyandu service.
