Nitrous Oxide (N2O) Flux From Rice Field : The Effect of Fertilizations Irrigation Techniques, Urea and Rice Varieties
Abstract
The study was carried out at experimental plot at Darmaga - Bogor during the periods of April - August 1995. Two rice varieties were fertilized using prilled urea, urea tables and unfertilized as control, and were irrigated continously and intermittently. The treatment were arranged in a strip-split-plot experimental design with there replicates. N2O fluxes were observed weekly at 14 - 16. Collection of evolved N2O was conducted using a chamber placed over the floodwater. Samples were taken at 0,20,40,and 60 minute's intervals. Determination of N2O content with a gas chromatography equpped with Ponapak-Q column, electron capture detector and HP integrator for Quantitative N2O cobcentration readings.
