      Abstract
The research entitled "The Potency of Banjar as A Development Extension Facilitator in Bali," has completely been carried out. The problems of study were: (1) How does the Banjar Community figure its potentiality to be a development extension facilitator in Bali?, and (2) What is the relationship between both the internal and external factors of bmjar upon the potency of banjar as a development extension and movement? The research is intended to know and study the potency of internal and external elements in supporting the potency of bnnjar as an extension facilitator for development movement among diffetent communities. The potency of banjar was designed as a survey research in four communities by means of "Multistage Cluster Sampling" method. From the four types of community, namely: agricultural, urban, artist and tourism, eight banjars were chosen and of each, twenty-nine respondents were selected at random. Six were taken from the provincial level, thirty-two from regency level and sixty-four from rural level, thus forming thirty-two bmtjars which canprice 1030 respondents. The primary data obtained through interview used test-standad questionnair (a =0,805 and =0,809), while the secondary data was obtained by tracing authenh documents and indepth interview with key-informers and direct involvement of several Banjar activities. The data was analyzed by qualitative analysis of modus (Mo) and percentage (%), and quantitative analysis according to Rank Spearman correlation.
